KAMWOKYA|The police at Kira road police station are investigating a suspected suicide incident that happened at approximately 11:40 am at Tagore Living which is located on Turnell Drive in Kamwokya.
According to the deputy public relations officer for Kampala metropolitan police ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the tragic incident was reported by the manager of the premises. “The deceased has been identified as John Birungi Babirukama, a 40-year-old ICT specialist and digital marketer residing in Kiwatule, Nakawa Division, Kampala. Mr. Babirukamu had booked into the premises on 30th May 2024.” Luke said
He added and highlighted that preliminary reports indicate that the deceased is believed to have jumped from the level 2D balcony, falling into the neighbour’s compound and dying instantly.
He however, stated that the body of the victim John Birungi Babirukama has been conveyed to the city mortuary at Mulago hospital for a postmortem examination. “Further information on the exact cause of death will be provided as soon as it becomes available.” He said
