One Direction star Liam Payne will be laid to rest on Wednesday surrounded by his loved ones including his former bandmates.
Liam Payne’s funeral is set to take place on Wednesday, November 20, following his tragic death in Argentina last month.
The body of the singer, who fell to his death from the third floor of his hotel balcony, was transported back to the UK earlier this month.
According to reports, the Payne family will hold a private funeral strictly attended by his family and close friends, with a wake following the service.
A source told The Sun: “Liam’s funeral is taking place tomorrow afternoon in the Home Counties.
“His family have gone to great lengths to put together the perfect service and give him the send off he deserves.”
They continued: “Liam may have been a global superstar but to Geoff and Karen he will always be their little boy.” It is going to be an incredibly difficult day.”
Liam’s One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, 30, Niall Horan, 31, Zayn Malik, 31, and Louis Tomlinson, 32, will all be in attendance.
As the news of the 31-year-old death sent shcokwaves worldwide, Liam’s family released a statement in honour of the late star: “We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul.
“We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time.”
Liam had been in the Argentina to renew his US visa after relocated to Florida with his girlfriend, American influencer Kate Cassidy.
