Kampala, Uganda -A Police Constable Adei Alex has been arrested for allegedly murdering two individuals, including his colleague Police Constable Tusiime Seeze and Kongai Babra, at Ntinda Police Barracks in Kampala yesterday.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire the deputy spokesperson of Kampala metropolitan police, the tragic incident happened at approximately 8:00pm.”It is alleged that PC Adei entered the residence of Kongai Babra and opened fire on PC Tusiime, who was inside the house at the time.” Owoyesigyire stated
The suspect proceeded and shot the second victim, Babra Kongai as she attempted to flee the scene. The suspect later fled but was arrested by the police and he’s currently being held at Jinja road police on allegations of murder.
preliminary investigations, the suspect PC Adei and Kongai Babra had previously been married but separated due to domestic issues.
“The police have recovered the firearm used in the incident, along with 12 rounds of ammunition. The bodies of the deceased have been conveyed to the City Mortuary at Mulago, and investigations are ongoing. More details will be shared as soon as they are available.” Owoyesigyire highlighted
