Entebbe, Uganda – The Uganda Police Force have arrested a Catholic priest in connection with the brutal murder of a Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) employee, Ngorok John Bosco.
According to the police spokesperson Rusoke kituuma, the tragic incident happened along the road from Kitooro to Entebbe international Airport at around 1:50am
“The victim was identified as Ngorok John Bosco, a 30-year-old male employee of the Uganda Revenue Authority’s Domestic Tax Department. He had been stabbed in the neck and head by an unknown assailant.” He said
Rusoke outlined that their police team responded swiftly and rushed the victim Ngorok to a Grade B hospital but unfortunately he was pronounced dead 20 minutes later. “The police immediately launched an investigation and began tracking the suspect.” Said Kituuma
He however disclosed that one suspect, Dominic Alinga, a priest at the Catholic parish church of Irir in Nakapiripirit was arrested in connection with the murder of the victim.
Kituuma also noted that the suspect, Alinga Dominic had previously been suspended from the church by the Bishop on allegations of stealing offertory worth UGX. 6 Million.
“Investigations into Alinga’s connection with the murder of Ngorok are still ongoing. Once complete, the police will determine whether to arraign him before the court.” He assured
