UPDF sends heartfelt condolence message to Kenya for the demise of their CDF commander

The leadership of  Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) have sent their heartfelt condolence message to the government of Kenya inregards to the loss of their Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Francis Omondi Ogolla.

The news of the demise of General Ogolla was confirmed yesterday by President William Ruto, who disclosed that he died in an helicopter crash alongside nine other military officials in Marakwet East.

“On behalf of the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the entire Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) fraternity, we wish to register our heartfelt condolences to the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), the bereaved families and the entire Kenyan nation upon the demise of these gallant officers.” the statement read

The condolence press statement also disclosed how the demise of General Ogolla, is not only a blow to Kenya as a Nation but also the entire East African Community.

“East African Community (EAC) has lost an accomplished General. Our hearts are with the bereaved families. May the souls of the departed Rest in Peace.”
