Liam Payne’s funeral was a sombre day for all as guests said their final goodbye to the One Direction star.
Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik were among the family and friends attending the private ceremony.
The private funeral was held in a church in the Home Counties and attended by close friends and family from across the globe.
One Direction showed a united front, with Harry, Niall, Louis and Zayn all in attendance, as well as their ex-manager Harry Magee, co-founder of Modest Management.
Although the band split in 2016, with Zayn leaving the year before, the bandmates released a joint statement after Liam’s death speaking of their joint sorrow, and all four also released individual tributes to their friend.
They were joined by the X-Factor media mogul Simon Cowell, who is credited with 1D’s stratospheric success in the 2010s.
Cheryl Tweedy also attended the service. Her and Liam had a two year long relationship between 2016 and 2018, and they now share a son together.
Cheryl was supported by her Girls Aloud mates, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, who were some of the first guests to arrive.
The coffin was carried to a waiting hearse after the 45-minute funeral service.
Liam’s parents were comforted by Simon Cowell who hugged the pair before they got into a waiting limo.
Liam, who rose to fame as a teenager on The X Factor, suffered fatal injuries, and an investigation into his death is ongoing. Cheryl has vowed to ensure their seven year old son Bear learns about his late father’s life and career as he grows older.
