Keddi foundation pays courtesy visit to Bulange, contributes USD. 20,000, purchases kits worth UGX. 4 million and additional UGX.4M cash

Keddi foundation a humanitarian organisation led by it’s CEO Hon. Dr Keddi Steven Zuluba have paid a courtesy visit to Buganda kingdom ahead of tomorrow’s Kabaka birthday run and contributed USD. 20,000 in the campaign to counter HIV/AIDs especially among the youths.

In addition, the foundation also managed to contribute another UGX. 10 million cash and a purchase of a total of 200 running kits worth UGX. 4 million as part of their support towards the smooth running of the kabaka birthday run event.

Speaking to the media inregards to their official visit to the Kingdom, the CEO of Keddi foundation Hon. Dr. Keddi Steven Zuluba revealed that the main reason for their involvement in this year’s Kabaka birthday run, is mainly due to its theme which is basically focusing on fighting HIV/AIDs especially among the youths. “As keddi foundation we had to come and also be part and partial of this noble cause.” Said keddi

Keddi Steven also disclosed that their humanitarian organisation shall be looking forward to partnering with Buganda kingdom in the bid to fight for the rights of girl – child, HIV/AIDs, cancer related issues among other chronic diseases.

“we are happy that today we’ve visited the kingdom of Buganda, where we’ve been warmly welcomed by the Buganda Katikkiro Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga and other officials.” Keddi stated

Meanwhile the Katikkiro of Buganda Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga extended his gratitude on behalf of Buganda kingdom towards Keddi foundation for their massive support to tomorrow’s Kabaka birthday run.

“We are looking forward to working with people like you, I am happy this foundation is full of young ladies and gents, you are the real people that we need that can go out there and encourage the people to test for HIV/AIDs.” He said

Mayiga also lauded other companies and organisations, political and religious leaders among others who endeavoured to purchase this year’s Kabaka Birthday kit.

“i commend our different sponsors key among them Airtel, lovers and partners who have supported this cause.” Said the Katikkiro of Buganda

He also disclosed that the Kabaka of Buganda Ronaldo Mwenda Mutebi designated Nnaalinnya Lubuga Agnes Nabaloga to flag off the participants in tomorrow’s birthday run due to the King’s absentia.

“Sabasajja Kabaka flew to Europe to see his medical handlers and he hasn’t been able to return in time for the birthday run. His Majesty the Kabaka will return home as soon as his medical handlers are through with their exercise.” Mayiga said

He however noted that the Kabaka was full of joy upon learning that most of the people that included the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Speaker of the 11th Parliament R.t Hon. Anita Among, the leader of opposition Hon. Joel Senyonyi, companies among others, had joined his ongoing noble cause.

“His majesty the Kabaka of Buganda is hopeful that our mission of eradicating HIV/AIDs is achievable if we all comply with the advise rendered by the medical personnel.” The Katikkiro stated

He added and said, the Kabaka urged each and everybody to participate in tomorrow’s campaign inorder to realise this goal.
