Police Place Ugx. 10 Million Bounty on Lecturer, after defiling a 16 year old teenage girl

Uganda police under it’s directorate of CID, have placed a cash reward of UGX. 10 million to any person with credible information that could lead them to the arrest of Dr. Eron Lawrence, aged 56 who is wanted for alleged Aggravated Defilement.

Speaking about the tragic incident at their weekly security media briefing in Naguru, the spokesperson of Uganda police force Fred Enanga disclosed that the victim is a 16 year old who is visually impaired

Enanga added and said, the credible information should be confidentially passed on to the nearest police station or through the phone contact of 0741-111-333 a number of CID headquarters in Kibuli.

“The wanted suspect held a position of Dean, Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation at Kyambogo University and was the Project Administrator “All we see is possibility”, which he used to gain trust of the victim.” Enanga stated

“A substantial cash reward of Ugx 10m, awaits any member of the public, who avails us information that can lead to his arrest.” He added

According to Enanga, the is still hiding within the country and they believe he is being helped by his closest relatives and friends.

It’s upon the above background that he warned whoever is harbouring the alleged suspect to desist from the dubious act, adding that it’s an offence which is punishable by law. “They will be arrested and charged with harbouring or aiding the escape of a wanted suspect.” He said

In addition, he disclosed that the CID headquarters has already processed an arrest warrant which has been submitted to Interpol, to issue a Red notice against the wanted suspect. “The suspect is wanted for a straight forward case of Aggravated Defilement.” He stressed

Enanga further revealed that all wanted persons in this country should be notified that there is no place to hide which is out of their reach. “We therefore, urge, the suspect to turn in and defend himself. A wanted poster is available on the police website and various social media platforms.” He outlined

“Once again, anyone with information about Dr. Eron Lawrence, whereabouts should call CID Headquarters on telephone number 0741-111-333. We will never stop pursing the suspect. We will find him and bring him to justice.” He emphasised further
