4 Students of Buganda Royal Institute die in road crash

4 students of Buganda Royal institute have this afternoon perished in a road crash at Garuga, after the motor vehicle they were travelling in lost control and rammed into a fuso truck.

Speaking about the fatal incident, the spokesperson of directorate of traffic and road safety SP Michael Kananura has disclosed that the victims were trying to overtake another vehicle in a corner.

“It’s said that the driver of M/V Reg No UBH 582S while at Garuga after log inn bar along Garuga road trying to over take a drone in a corner, lost control and rammed into Fuso truck which was parked aside off loading sodas killing instantly 4 of it’s occupants and injuring 2 others who were all students of Buganda Royal Institute.” Said the traffic spokesperson

Wreckage of the Toyota Rumion that the students were travelling in at the time of the accident.

Eyewitnesses said the victims were travelling in a Toyota Rumion and were en route to a beach party.

Kananura has also disclosed that the bodies have been conveyed to Mulago City mortuary for postmortem, while the two students that sustained injuries have also been rushed to Kisubi hospital for treatment.
