Mubende, Uganda – A gruesome murder has shaken the community of Ngowa Lc1, Katente Parish, Kiyuni subcounty, Mubende district, after a man was stabbed to death over an extramarital affair.
According to the Wamala regional police spokesperson SP Kawala Racheal, Nyansiyo Ignitious, a resident of Ngowa Lc1, was found dead in the marital bed of Mutatina Khalisiti, a lumber worker from Kagadi district.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Mutatina had been away from home for some time, leaving his wife behind. However, upon his return, he allegedly found Nyansiyo in bed with his wife, leading to a violent confrontation.
“It is alleged Nyansiyo (deceased) had been having extra marital affair with the wife of Mutatina (suspect). Findings indicate that during the night of 07/09/2024 , at about 2100 hrs ,the suspect returned home and found the Nyansiyo(deceased) in bed with his wife and he allegedly stabbed him to death using a knife.” Said the regional police spokesperson
The suspect, Mutatina, is believed to have stabbed Nyansiyo to death using a knife before fleeing the scene with his wife. The body of the deceased was taken to Mubende Regional Referral Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Police are currently hunting for the suspect and have appealed to the public for any information that may lead to his arrest. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the dangers of extramarital affairs.
