Two boys on hunt for attempting to hack mother to death over cheating

The territorial police in East Kyoga region and Bukedea CPS, have put a serious hunt for two brothers, identified as Onenge Andrew and Opio Ivan, of Akaramai village, Kamom parish, in Bukedea district, for the attempted murder of their mother, Asikeit Melidah,

According to the police spokesperson Fred Enanga, the two suspects found their mother cheating with her manfriend identified as Omerikol Joseph since their father Ogwanga Isaac is a teacher who is always stationed at his work place.

“The facts gathered indicate that the two siblings, on the 20.03.2024, returned home at around 10pm, and found their mother and her manfriend, already sleeping in their fathers’ house, which angered them.” Said the police spokesperson Enanga

Enanga also disclosed, that the two brothers picked pangas and hacked their mother together with her manfriend, who were then rushed to Bukedea Health centre IV for treatment in critical condition as a result of the injuries inflicted on them by the suspects.

It’s upon the above context, that Enanga call on the young children to preserve some respect for their parents regardless of what has happened, adding that their act is a serious abomination.

“In this very incident, the sons who are now on the run, needed to bring their concerns, to the attention of their father, clan leaders, local elders, including women leaders, the church, and the Police Child and Family Protection Unit, to help prevail over their mother and her manfriend.” Enanga stated

He further said that the action of the two boys was pre-meditated and motivated by anger and rage, stressing that they are both wanted for two counts of attempted murder.
