KCCA & Villa to light up the newly refurbished Mandela stadium this Wednesday.

Outlook of the new refurbished Mandela National Stadium

This Wednesday, the Uganda Premier League will witness arguably the biggest game of the season so far as KCCA take on SC Villa at refurbished Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

The two teams along with Vipers were the top three in the division last season with the Jogoos pushing both KCCA and eventual winners Vipers until the final day of the campaign.

It is a little different this season with Villa firmly in the race as compared to the Kasasiro but that doesn’t change the fact that the Jogoos have only won twice in the past 22 league meetings.

It should be noted that, Villa’s last win over KCCA was in 2020 when Nicholas Kabonge and Ronald Ssekiganda netted for the Jogoos.

Unsurprisingly, ahead of the match, there has been plenty of debate over the quality of the two squads with a discussion over who exactly should be included in a combined XI made up of players from each side.
