Rotary Club Mukono-Namilyango Participates in Rotary Cancer Run

Mukono, Uganda – Yesterday, the Rotary Club of Mukono-Namilyango made a significant impact in the community by participating in the Rotary Cancer Run and organizing a clean-up around Seeta town in Mukono district.

“We are proud to be part of this initiative, raising awareness about cancer and promoting environmental sustainability,” said Rotarian Mable Claire Nankya, Club President. “Every small action counts, and together, we can make a difference.”

The event drew enthusiastic participation from club members and the community, highlighting the importance of collective action in the fight against cancer and climate change.

“As we work towards raising awareness about cancer, we must also address climate change,” Nankya emphasized. “Our collective efforts can lead to significant positive change.”

Past Assistant Governor, Rotarian Henry Luzinda, echoed the call for environmental action, urging the public to take proactive steps in cleaning their surroundings. “Our environment is our responsibility. By taking action, we contribute to a healthier planet.”

The Rotary Club of Mukono-Namilyango remains committed to its mission of community service, with a focus on cancer awareness and environmental sustainability.
